These safety features, and others, factor into the Sentra being named a 2022 IIHS TOP SAFETY PICK.
The standard Xtronic CVT® (Continuously Variable Transmission) makes it possible to reach your vehicle’s maximum EPA-estimated 29 city and 39 highway MPG rating.1 This is possible since the CVT has no set gear ratios like conventional transmissions.
Instead, it consists of two pulleys and a steel belt connecting them. These pulleys constantly vary the gear ratio based on the vehicle’s performance. Since the CVT aims to produce the lowest gear possible, less torque is generated, and less fuel is required to power your Sentra.
Regardless of the exterior temperature, you and your passengers will always feel comfortable inside the cabin of the Sentra thanks to its various climate-controlled amenities.
An optional Remote Engine Start System is also offered with the Sentra. With a simple press of a button, you can start your vehicle while you pour your coffee in your travel mug. Then, when you enter your vehicle, it’ll already be your ideal temperature.
The Sentra offers ample room for up to five occupants. The 96 cubic feet of passenger space is spread across the first and second rows. Check out how this space is divided in this chart:

In addition to passenger space, there’s room for all your travel gear thanks to its 14.3 cubic-foot cargo capacity.
Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ come standard in the Nissan Sentra. These integration features let you sync your smartphone to your sedan. Once connected, a familiar interface will appear on the 7- or optional 8-inch touch-screen display. From there, touch, tap, or swipe your way through the features you have saved to your phone.
Available NissanConnect® allows you to stay connected to your Sentra from inside your home. Skills offered by Alexa and Google Assistant let you remotely start your vehicle, flash the lights, and more.
